The Internet is full of recipes for a healthy lifestyle. We can learn how to lose weight for hours, how to get rid of the ugly carbuncle and about that miraculous drug that ‘treats everything’... But today, after hundreds of years of technical revolution, in the boom of nanotechnology and the rise of genetics, we still can’t order our health online. That’s why it is life-determining to have access to health information. Health education, health literacy.
During the last month we presented two short videos, with the help of which we are focusing the attention of curious people on topics, connected with health education. It gives knowledge, opportunities and it is responsibility. It brings up and forms proactive attitude towards personal health, stimulates self confidence and is a part of literacy, as well helps us to think critically.
Our team developed the animation ‘About the Advantages of Health Education’ on project ‘My Body – My Rights’, supported by the programme for social responsible business of the company MSD ‘ MSD for Mothers’.
In our work we are happy to collaborate with young people, trained by us, and together to popularize knowledge on health important for everyone. Teenagers live full blooded with the dynamic of the day and help us to successfully build bridge to their peers as this way we teach the value knowledge about health, gained via hard work and persistence in science and experimental field.
The other short video ‘We Know about Reproductive Health’ represents a kind of advertising of our Association and marks some of the topics on which we teach young people who want to know more and is developed with the active participation of one of our young volunteers – Radoslav Vasilev.
Our young voluteer Gabriela Percheva since the beginning of this year every day is working hard about our communication with the followers of BFPA in Instagram and is doing that perfectly. Follow us in Instagram.
BFPA trains and can train new groups of students, young people, teachers, psychologists, health mediators, municipal employees, a team of professionals in any area, people who want to know more on contraception, intimate relations and sexual and reproductive health. There are no hard topics for us!
