From June 28 to June 30, 2021 тhe team and the management board of BFPA together with key partners of the organization gathered for a second training under the project "Capacity building for advocacy for SRHR", supported by the EEA Financial Mechanism.
Prior to the training, the participants filled out a detailed questionnaire about how they see the organization and its work so far, what are the challenges of the external environment, which audience and which public groups should be introduced to our work.
The emphasis in the training program was upon the development of PR and communication strategy of the organization. Participants discussed the challenges for civil society organizations to speak in a language understood by their target audiences. Appropriate messages from BFPA aimed at different audiences were developed in working groups.
The lecturers in the training, specialists in public relations and civil law, Diana Damyanova and Ivana Murdzheva, shared interesting experiences and helped in the process of formulating and elaborating the messages. New communication approaches, media strategy and opportunities for defending and forming public positions through legal protection were proposed. The summarized results of the seminar will serve as a basis for the development of the new PR and communication strategy of the organization.
The meeting is part of the project "Capacity building for the team, partners and supporters of BFPA in the field of advocacy for SRHR", which is implemented with the financial support of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Financial Mechanism - www.activecitizensfund.bg . The main goal of the project is to increase the capacity of the teams of BFPA and of representatives of partner organizations and networks for advocacy and increased legal literacy in the field of SRHR.
